Spanberger, Earle-Sears make final campaign stops ahead of Election Day
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- With Election Day tomorrow, both Abigail Spanberger (D) and Winsome Earle-Sears (R) are meeting voters across the commonwealth during the campaign’s final hours.
“Tomorrow is the day that we get to show the rest of the country, that when given the opportunity to vote for change, to vote for something different, here in Virginia, we make the most of that opportunity,” Spanberger told volunteers at a canvass launch in Chesterfield County on Monday.
“This is not about, as I've always said, the next four years. This is about our children and their children,” Earle-Sears told voters at a diner in Henrico County on Monday.
Earle-Sears, who was joined in Henrico by the rest of the GOP ticket and Governor Glenn Youngkin, told voters that if they like what she called the progress made under Youngkin, they should vote Republican.
“Do you like what we’ve been doing in Virginia? Well, Abigail Spanberger was never part of it. She hasn’t been part of creating any of these jobs. She hasn’t been part of helping Virginia to remain safe and secure,” Earle-Sears said.
Meanwhile, Spanberger said if you’re opposed to what she called the "chaos" coming out of Washington, you should vote for her to be Virginia’s next governor.
“We need a governor with a plan to stand up for Virginia, and we need a governor with a plan to see us through this time of chaos and challenge,” Spanberger said.
Polls are open on Tuesday from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.
