RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Today may start out rainy, but this afternoon will be fairly pleasant. Rain chances will wrap up around 9 a.m. and skies will clear quickly.

We will have a windy morning and early afternoon, with gusts around 30mph coming from the west.

Our high temperatures occurred early this morning, so it will cool through the rest of the day. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s this afternoon and drop into the 30s tonight.

Lows on Saturday will be in the upper 20s and highs will be in the upper 40s. Sunday will be a tad warmer, with lows in the 30s and highs in the 50s. Both weekend days will be very pleasant.

Next week, rain chances are looking to be more of a Tuesday deal. Isolated showers on Wednesday and Thursday, the Christmas holiday, are possible, but looking less likely. Highs for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be in the mid 50s and skies will be partly cloudy. We'll keep you updated on the Christmas forecast day by day!
