StormTracker8: Isolated afternoon shower or storm; Humidity dropping for Tomorrow

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Today, highs will be in the mid 80s and we'll be dealing with cloud cover all day. A very isolated shower or storm is possible this afternoon, but the severe weather threat is significantly lower than in recent days.

We still have that stray shower chance due to a cold front that hasn't quite passed through our region yet. It is slowly but surely making its way south, and it will soon usher in much drier air to central Virginia. Low temperatures are forecast to drop to the upper 60s tonight!

This will give us much lower humidity values, and our high temperatures will be in the mid or upper 80s through Wednesday.

It's going to be an extremely pleasant break from the muggy and rainy conditions we've been dealing with for nearly 2 weeks now. Take some time to go outside these next few days, because we're trending towards very warm conditions by the end of the week. Friday and Saturday highs could climb to the mid 90s, and "feels like" temperatures will soar back into the low 100s. The low rain chances will creep back into the forecast this weekend as well.

TRACKING THE TROPICS: There’s a tropical disturbance out in the far open Atlantic Ocean, with a very low formation chance over the next 7 days.
