Teenage boy in hospital, 3 suspects sought after shooting in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A teenage boy is in the hospital and three suspects are on the run after a shooting in Chesterfield County on Tuesday.

At about 7:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the Festival Park Plaza Apartments in the 3800 block of Festival Park Plaza for report of a shooting.

When they arrived, officers found evidence of a shooting and a firearm, but no victim or suspects.

The victim, a teenage boy, was later found at an area hospital. Police could not share the severity of his injuries at this time.

Police are searching for three male suspects wearing all-black clothing in connection with this shooting. Detailed descriptions of these suspects were not provided.
