The 89th annual Legendary Santa returns to Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond's annual Legendary Santa will return to the Children's Museum of Richmond this holiday season.

This is the 89th season of the celebration since its start in 1936 on the the seventh floor of the historic Miller and Roads department store, according to the Children's Museum of Richmond.

The celebration now sees around 25,000 children and families at the museum to celebrate.

According to the museum, tickets for the event are now open to the general public, however, chimney times are sold out for Saturday and Sunday during the rest of the 2025 season which goes from Nov. 28 to Dec. 24.

Discounted tickets will be available for Children Museum of Richmond scholarship member families and for those who present their SNAP, EBT card/ app or WIC card.

Cards should be shown when checking in at the event -- when checking out, use code SMFA to receive your discount.
