The Arboretum: A ‘hidden gem’ found in the heart of Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Residents may be surprised to find out that a public greenspace lies in the center of the 580-acre Chesterfield County Government Complex.

According to a Facebook post by Chesterfield County, the greenspace, also known as the "Arboretum," is reportedly open every day from dawn until dusk, and invites both residents and visitors to take a "peaceful, self-guided walk" through the landscape.

Scenery in the greenspace includes trees, shrubs, perennials and edible plantings that range from broccoli to berries.

Chesterfield County said, "It's more than a garden, it's a place to learn, reflect, and connect with nature right in the heart of Chesterfield."
