‘Trapped In The Y2K’ fashion show coming to Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Travel back in time with Persuasion Models' "Trapped In The Y2K" fashion show, which is coming to Richmond this May.

The show, set for 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, will take over the Hilton in Richmond's Downtown. 8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall got a chance to catch up with Persuasion Models' founder and CEO Ray Burnett and discuss the event during Thursday's Good Morning Richmond.

According to Burnett, his modeling company puts on a spring fashion show every year. This year's theme was chosen in an effort to change things up a bit.

Burnett brought a model on-air with him, showing off the kind of Y2K fashion that show attendees will be able to enjoy. He added that the model was wearing his own fashion brand.

"I wanted to start a modeling [agency] in the Richmond area to help out models try to find their lane in the modeling scene," Burnett said of his motivations behind launching Persuasion Models. "I feel like a lot of models in this area just need that spark of, trying to figure out what they wanna do in modeling -- and I just thought it was a need in the city to help models pursue their modeling career long-term."

Burnett added that Persuasion Models holds tryouts regularly, so any prospective models are always welcome to contact the agency for a chance at their dreams.
