Two Chesterfield firefighters return from deployment in New Mexico

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two Chesterfield County Fire and EMS firefighters have returned after deploying to New Mexico as part of the Central Virginia Incident Management Team.

According to a spokesperson for Chesterfield County Fire and EMS, firefighters Kate Kibler and Justin Bryan deployed to New Mexico on Aug. 24 and returned home in the evening on Sept. 8.

They provided support, including planning and logistics assistance, in the Emergency Operations Center in the Village of Ruidoso, which was hit by flooding in July.

Officials said the firefighters were also joined by Nick Nestlerode, an officer with the Chesterfield County Police Department, and the Hampton Roads Incident Management Team.
