Two Henrico men charged with killing 17-year-old girl appear in court for the first time
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The two men charged with shooting and killing a 17-year-old girl in Henrico County were in court for the first time on Friday, Dec. 12.
That shooting happened at the Residence Inn on Dickens Road on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Khalid Rashad Price and Kyre Omari Martin, both 18 years old, were arrested on Thursday for second degree murder.
Henrico police have not identified the girl who died, but court records show her initials are S.W.H.

Shots rang out at the Residence Inn on Dickens Road on Dec. 6.
At their first court appearance, Price and Martin appeared virtually and were appointed attorneys by Judge Stacy Lee in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Price hired Arnold Henderson and Martin was appointed Kevin Purnell.
When Judge Lee asked Martin how he was doing, he responded, "I'm doing decent enough."
Martin pleaded guilty for charges from July, including carrying a loaded firearm in public and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Price has no criminal record.
Henrico Police were called to the Residence Inn at 1:35 a.m. When they arrived, they found S.W.H. and another woman who’d be shot in a motel room. S.W.H. died at the scene, and the woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police previously said that there was evidence that the shooting was related to a large gathering involving multiple juveniles.
Price will have a bond hearing to be released on Tuesday, Dec. 16 and Martin will be back in court in February.
This was Henrico County's third homicide of the year, but the department said "one death is still too many." They are still investigating what led up to shots being fired.
