VA Pride has announced who’s to appear at Richmond’s 2025 Pridefest

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Pridefest VA has officially announced its attendees for this years festival in Richmond.

Social media sensation and rapper Saucy Santana is among the list of celebrity appearances at the festival. Santana is also known for his viral songs on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Pridefest is set to take place in Midtown Green on Saturday, Sept. 27., and this years theme is "Live.Out.Loud." Which according to Pridefest is, "A rallying cry in the face of amped up attacks on the LGBTQ community."

Santana will also join trans pop singer Mila Jam, Richmond native Kevin Aviance and RuPaul Drag Race star, Aja as national acts who will offer entertainment to crowds the festival.

According to the release, other local drag legends, bands and dance groups will round out the days entertainment.

Alvion Davenport, Virginia Pride’s Entertainment Lead stated, "this year, the entertainment will be a little saucy!" Davenport continue by saying, "People are in for a treat. Everything from country and emo covers, to jazz to ballroom, to an amazing cultural experience, be prepared to be entertained."

The Latin Ballet of Virginia and Virginia Ballroom Alliance will feature diverse dance numbers according to the release. Appearances by Mr., Mrs. and Mx VA Pride will also be featured.

Virginia Pride Director, James Miller shared that, "Events like Pridefest send irrefutable message that the LGBTQ community is powerful and resilient," Miller.

"The past few months have been hard for queer and trans people, but Pridefest is a time when we can gather to celebrate joy and energize ourselves for the work that lies ahead."

This year's festival welcomes family and friends with "age-appropriate entertainment and activities for LGBTQ youth, their friends and families."
