VCU claims first conference victory, defeating Duquesne 65-63
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- VCU’s women’s basketball team came away with their first conference win of the year with a 65-63 victory over Duquesne on Thursday. The win improved VCU’s record to 7-7 on the season and Conference record to 1-1. Duquesne, on the other hand, fell to 9-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Mary-Anna Asare delivered an outstanding 37-point performance. She shot 15-of-26 from the field and 3-of-8 from three and added four rebounds. Next up the Rams will face the University of Richmond on January 5, 2025, in another key Atlantic 10 Conference showdown.
