Vehicle fire in Chesterfield prompts officials to offer safety tips

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County Fire and EMS is offering driving and heat safety tips to residents after a vehicle fire on Thursday.

Fire officials reported that on Thursday, July 17, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 95 near Route 10.

They shared that the side of the highway is one of the most dangerous places firefighters work, so Chesterfield Fire and EMS are encouraging drivers to "stay alert and avoid distractions while driving."
