Virginia governor’s race candidates to debate live on WRIC in October
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The upcoming debate between candidates for the Virginia governor's race -- Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears and former Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger -- is set to air exclusively on Nexstar television stations across the commonwealth this October.
The debate will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center on the campus of Norfolk State University.
While the broadcast will be hosted by WAVY in Portsmouth, it will air on six other Nexstar stations, including WRIC, WFXR, WDVM, WJHL and EJHL.
WRIC viewers may recognize a familiar face at the event, as 8News' own Deanna Allbrittin will be moderating the debate alongside WAVY's Tom Schaad.
