Week of closures coming to Richmond street for road work

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A week of lane closures is coming to a Richmond roadway to allow for scheduled work.
From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily starting on Tuesday, Sept. 30 and ending Tuesday, Oct. 7, there will be alternating lane closures along U Street between North 28th and North 31st streets, according to the city's Department of Public Works.
These closures will allow for the road to be paved, officials said.
