Woman charged after report of shots fired in to Petersburg home

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman is facing the charge of domestic assault, among others, following a report of shots fired into a home in Petersburg. At 1:33 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, officers with the Petersburg Bureau of Police were called to the 600 block of Gressett Street for the report of a shots fired into a home. While responding to the call, police said the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Lakeisha Curtis, was seen in the 500 block of Halifax Street. She was taken into custody and the alleged weapon was recovered, according to police. Curtis was reportedly held without bond and there were no injuries.
