Woman dead after being shot in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman is dead after police say she was shot in Chesterfield County early Saturday morning.
At 2:53 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, officers with the Chesterfield Police were called to the 4000 block of Belcourse Road.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
She was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and died shortly after.
Officials said there is no threat to the public, and her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
