Woman fighting for life after shooting in Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman is fighting for her life after a shooting in Richmond's Shockoe Bottom early Friday morning.

According to the Richmond Police Department, officers were called to a reported shooting in the 100 block of N. 18th Street at 2:13 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28.

When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been shot. She was later taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries, which are considered life-threatening.

There is no word yet on what led up to the incident or of a possible suspect.
