75-year-old Henrico woman dies following crash on Laburnum Avenue
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 75-year-old Henrico County woman has died due to her injuries following a crash that occurred on Laburnum Avenue in November. Police have identified the woman who died in the hospital due to her injuries as Mary Arlene Battle of Henrico County. This comes after the crash occurred at 3:17 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the intersection of East Laburnum Avenue and Pemberton Avenue. When officers with the Henrico County Police Division arrived, they found two vehicles that had run off the road, one of which had overturned. According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates that two vehicles, a Toyota Camry and a Buick Encore, were speeding while heading east on Laburnum Avenue, when the Buick hit a third vehicle, a Honda Ridgeline, while turning onto Pemberton Avenue. Those involved in the crash received medical attention. Battle was a passenger in one of the vehicles who was taken to a local hospital and later died due to her injuries on Sunday, Dec. 1.
