Applications are open for Prince George’s Micro-Business Grant Program
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Prince George County would like to remind residents of its Micro-Business Grant Program for residents looking to start a business or for those who are new to the business scene.
The Economic Development Authority (EDA) Micro-Business Grant Program is partnered with the county's Economic Development and Tourism Department and EDA.
The program aims to assist in growing and expanding micro-businesses in Prince George County.
How do you know if you're eligible?
Listed below are some requirements for the program according to the county:
- Business must be for profit
- Business may not be a publicly traded company
- Business may not have more than 25 employees
- The business must have a Prince George County business license or be exempt per state code
- Businesses must have a physical presence within Prince George County
- The owner of the business must submit an EDA acceptable business project plan
When can I apply?
Applications for the grant program must be submitted by Aug. 31, 2025, and funding will be awarded in September 2025. The project must be completed by September 2026.
