Arrangements made for former Chesterfield District Supervisor, James “Jim” Holland after battle with cancer

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Arrangements have been made for former five-term Chesterfield County District Supervisor, James "Jim" Holland after his battle with cancer.

The 73-year-old passed away in his home on Tuesday, Oct. 14, surrounded by family, according to the county.

On Friday, Oct. 17, Chesterfield County announced plans to celebrate the life of the former district supervisor and U.S. Army veteran.

According to the release, a community visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 4901 Cogbill Rd. On Saturday, a celebration of life ceremony will be held for Holland on Oct. 25, at 11 a.m., on Tabernacle Church, 11700 Genito Rd.

The final service will be a committal service on Monday, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. at Albert G. Horton  Memorial Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road in Suffolk, Va.

During his time, Holland served the Dale District of Chesterfield County and is survived by his wife, Judith Holland and two adult children.
