Body found by search, rescue crews while searching Appomattox River for missing man who fell in
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A body was found by Chesterfield County Fire and EMS crews in the Appomattox River Wednesday morning while searching for a man who fell in while fishing Tuesday night.
As crews from the Petersburg Department of Fire, Rescue and EMS searched alongside Chesterfield Fire and EMS for a missing man in the Appomattox River in the morning on Wednesday, July 9, officials said a body was found.
This comes after crews initiated a search for a man who went missing after he reportedly fell into the Appomattox River while fishing in the evening on Tuesday, July 8.
Officials have not yet confirmed whether the body is the missing man, pending identification from the Medical Examiner.
