Body pulled from Appomattox River in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The body of a man was pulled from the Appomattox River in Chesterfield County on Monday after he was spotted floating in the water.
At 1:40 p.m. on Monday, July 21, the Chesterfield County Police Department received a call about a body floating in the Appomattox River.
Crews with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS, as well as authorities from both Colonial Heights and Petersburg, responded to the area.

The body was recovered from the water around 2:45 p.m. in the area of Archer Avenue, per a Chesterfield Fire spokesperson, at which time it was confirmed that the unidentified man had died.
His cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.
