Cat rescued from well by Chesterfield firefighters
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield firefighters rescued a cat on Thursday evening that had fallen into a well.
On Thursday, April 17, firefighters with Chesterfield Fire and EMS responded to the report of a cat stuck in a well.
Upon arrival, the firefighters found that a person was working on the well at their home on Church Road when the cat ended up falling in while the cap was off.

Lieutenant Dervon Hayes, firefighter Lamont Johnson and firefighter Mohamed Maqsher then lowered a bucket into the well, eventually managing to convince the cat to get inside after 20 minutes.
The cat was then given back to its owner and is reportedly okay.
