Celebrate the holidays at Hanover County’s Winter on the Green
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Enjoy holiday festivities at Hanover County's Winter on the Green, featuring a night of entertainment, activities, treats and more. Winter on the Green, hosted by Hanover County, is a free event that will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. -- located at the Historic Hanover Courthouse Green, 7496 County Complex Rd. The grand illumination ceremony will kick off at 5:15 p.m. -- lighting up the holiday tree for the audience. According to Hanover County, those attending the event can expect: To explore a winter marketplace with handmade products Enjoy holiday treats and hot chocolate Performances from The Doorway Singers and Hanover High School Chante Horse-drawn carriage and trackless train rides Create your own Christmas ornaments Cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus Meet and greets with Santa and other holiday characters Parking is available at Hanover County Government Complex.
