Celebrate the holidays at Hanover County’s Winter on the Green

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Enjoy holiday festivities at Hanover County's Winter on the Green, featuring a night of entertainment, activities, treats and more.
Winter on the Green, hosted by Hanover County, is a free event that will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. -- located at the Historic Hanover Courthouse Green, 7496 County Complex Rd.
The grand illumination ceremony will kick off at 5:15 p.m. -- lighting up the holiday tree for the audience.
According to Hanover County, those attending the event can expect:
- To explore a winter marketplace with handmade products
- Enjoy holiday treats and hot chocolate
- Performances from The Doorway Singers and Hanover High School Chante
- Horse-drawn carriage and trackless train rides
- Create your own Christmas ornaments
- Cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus
- Meet and greets with Santa and other holiday characters
Parking is available at Hanover County Government Complex. Pets are welcomed, but must be on a leash.
