Chesterfield County Fire and EMS remembers firefighter Brad McNeer
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County Fire and EMS is remembering firefighter Brad McNeer on the 25th anniversary of his death. According to officials, McNeer died while in the line of duty on Dec. 18, 1999. He was involved in a crash on Old Buckingham Road while responding to a call. McNeer was 22 years old and was a volunteer firefighter with Bon Air Volunteer Fire Company. Following his death, officials said a memorial scholarship fund was set up in his honor, and on Wednesday, Dec. 18, the memorial flame will be lit for 24 hours in his memory.
