Chesterfield County introduces new app to residents that could monitor water usage

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County is asking residents to download a new app that could offer information on household water usage and leaks.

The "EyeOnWater" app will allow residents to do the following:

  • Monitor water usage in real-time
  • Be alerted on possible leaks on your property
  • Other "pertinent" information related to water in your household

To use the app the county said to just use your customer account number attached to your utility bill and "you're all set."

When setting up the account, the County said to make sure residents use a dash when entering your account number so that the app can recognize it.
