Commuters can now get a ride using GRTC LINK serving all of Powhatan County

POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- GRTC LINK microtransit services are now available to all commuters in Powhatan County.
While the service has been available in parts of the county since May 2024, the whole county is now included as part of the zone of service.
A social post on Wednesday, July 2, outlines all the different areas that will now be served after the expansion of the GRTC LINK zone.
LINK is a zero-fare on-demand public transportation service. Link vehicles are isolated to dedicated zones and provide free curb-to-curb rides between any two places.

The zones LINK already operated in, before Powhatan was added, included Sandston, Ashland, parts of Richmond's Northside and parts of Chesterfield County.
The entire county will be included in the Powhatan zone, and commuters will be able to catch rides to Westchester Commons, Watkins ER & Medical Center, Chesterfield Town Center and Johnston-Willis Hospital.
