Dog dead, resident hospitalized after house fire in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A dog is dead and a Henrico County resident is in the hospital after a house fire Thursday evening. Just after 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, crews with the Henrico County Division of Fire responded to the 2600 block of Lincoln Avenue for report of a house fire. When firefighters arrived, they found a single-story home on fire. The fire's damage has displaced two residents, with one of those residents needing to be hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Unfortunately, while one of the two dogs who lived in the home survived, the other died.
