‘Forget Me Not’ film helps raise money for Alzheimer’s Association

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a virtual visit from two special guests on Wednesday to talk about 'Forget Me Not,' a new film that aims to help raise money for the Alzheimer's Association.

8News anchor Delaney Hall was joined by lead producer and actor Dan Kairis as well as actor Michael S. Doran as they spoke about the project.

"We came up with a team of people, all of which have had some involvement with Alzheimer's, either directly or indirectly, so that we could produce a film to show the effects that Alzheimer's has, not only on the afflicted person, but also the family and friends of the person," Kairis said.

While the team is based out of Chicago, the funds raised from the film will be directed to specific chapters based on where the donor is from, meaning that any Richmond viewers who rent the film will be donating to the Greater Richmond Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

It costs $3 to rent the film, and $2 of that will go towards the cause. For more information and to watch the film while supporting the cause, click here.
