Goochland launches real-time, interactive emergency response dashboard
GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Goochland County launched a new real-time, interactive dashboard on Tuesday, designed to expand public access to emergency response information.
On Tuesday, March 3, county officials announced that the Department of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services webpage will soon feature an interactive data dashboard. The website is said to provide information related to fire-rescue and emergency services in the county.
“This is the first of several dashboards on the horizon to provide greater transparency to our community,” said Jeremy Raley, County Administrator, in a press release. “As outlined in my entry plan, our goal is to share meaningful data that reflects our daily operations. The Fire-Rescue dashboard represents [the] first step in this effort. We are excited to share this level of transparency with our community.”

The data dashboard is reportedly powered by ImageTrend’s Continuum platform, which provides real-time information, including live insights into the response activity of career and volunteer personnel, a response heat map, call types and calls by district, among other information, according to a release.
Visitors to the page can learn more about emergency response in the county, such as department and station leadership locations.
Residents can gain preparedness tips related to severe weather, fires, medical emergencies and other disaster situations.
All department news, such as press releases and important announcements, is also posted on the main page and in the news sections of the website, officials said.
