HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- A grand opening is slated to be held for Hopewell's Main Street Station Co-Working facility in late March, during which one of the first tenants, a transportation company, will be welcomed.

The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Main Street Station Co-Working will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, at 117 S. Main St. The public is invited to attend.

During the ceremony, one of the space's first tenants, J Melton Transportation LLC, will open for business in the building.

The company, owned and operated by Julie Melton, offers both cargo and passenger transportation services, including same-day cargo pickup and delivery. City officials said this fills a key service gap for local businesses and residents.

“Opening J Melton Transportation in Hopewell is the realization of a vision to provide reliable, efficient, and truly responsive transportation services,” Melton said in a press release. “We pride ourselves on being one of the only local companies offering same-day, on-demand, and last-mile logistics pickup and delivery, while also providing dependable passenger transportation. Our goal is to be a one-stop solution that helps businesses move faster and residents get where they need to go.”

The co-working space, which is Hopewell's first dedicated co-working environment, was developed by local developer Gerald Bosch.

City officials said the space was created to support entrepreneurs, remote workers, freelancers and small businesses looking for flexible and professional workspace where employees can collaborate.

“The grand opening of Main Street Coworking represents more than just a new business—it’s an
investment in the future of Hopewell,” Bosch said in a press release. “For years, there has been a clear need for flexible, professional workspace options that support entrepreneurs, remote workers, and small businesses right here in our community. This space was intentionally designed to fill that gap, offering affordable membership levels starting at $95 per month, along with private offices and dedicated workstations. I’m proud to introduce Hopewell’s first co-working space and excited to see the collaboration, innovation, and growth that will come from it."
