Henrico Fire provides aid for over 1,800 stranded piglets stuck on I-95
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Henrico County Division of Fire responded to a very unique call on Monday, July 14, after a truck trailer carrying over 1,800 piglets broke down and needed help cooling off.
The piglets were on their way to Iowa when the truck broke down in Henrico County on Interstate 295 North on Woodman Road.

The piglets began to overheat and became stressed, prompting a call to Henrico County Fire to come and cool the piglets down.
"Truck came out of Waverly and is being towed back to sipper," Henrico Fire's Battalion Chief Doug Reynolds told 8News via email on Monday.
