Juvenile in custody for brandishing pellet gun near Monticello High in Albemarle
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A juvenile was taken into custody on Friday afternoon for allegedly brandishing a pellet gun near Monticello High School in Albemarle County.
Just after 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, officers with the Albemarle County Police Department responded to a reported disorder near Mill Creek Drive and Independence Way, which is near the parking lot of Monticello High School.
When they arrived, officers located a juvenile who was allegedly brandishing a pellet gun.
They were taken into custody without incident.
According to police, this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The juvenile has been charged with felony brandishing and is being held at the Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Center.
