Learn about local history collections at Richmond Public Library
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Looking to learn more about the history of your favorite spots in the River City? Richmond Public Library's Main Library will host an event on Wednesday where you can learn more about the research resources available to you.
"Researching Richmond 101" will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 23 in the Richmond Room of the Main Library, located at 101 E. Franklin St.
According to organizers, special collections librarian Chloe McCormick will give attendees an introduction to the local history collections and resources offered by the Richmond Public Library.
McCormick will highlight microfilm, photographs, ephemera and map collections, among others. After the presentation, McCormick will be available to assist visitors with local history research.
