Learn about the history of the Bright Hope Railroad along hike in Pocahontas State Park
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Looking to learn about local history while getting some light exercise? Pocahontas State Park will host a hike where attendees will learn about the Bright Hope Railroad on Saturday. The one-mile hike will span from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the park, beginning at its main office. Attendees will learn about how the railroad gave hope to a community.
