Man arrested in Petersburg for ‘brandishing’ a weapon after being found on a person’s property

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A 34-year-old man was arrested on Saturday morning after police say he was "brandishing" a firearm in Petersburg.
At around 9:47 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, officers with Petersburg Bureau of Police responded to a call in the 900 block of Patterson Street for a report of a man driving through the area while "brandishing a firearm."

Upon arrival, officers found a man -- later identified as 34-year-old Jerrelle Crump -- and his car in front of a person's home.
Crump has been charged with possession of a concealed weapon and is being held until his court appearance.
