Man fighting for his life after being shot in Richmond’s Southside

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is fighting for his life after he was shot in Richmond's Southside Sunday evening, according to police.
At 8:57 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 3000 block of Lawson Street for the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found a man with apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
