Man injured after shooting on Derwent Road in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was injured after he was shot on Derwent Road in Richmond on Sunday morning.

At 8:50 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 1600 block of Stansbury Ave. for the report of a person shot.

When they arrived, officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound and determined that the incident had happened within the 6100 block of Derwent Road.

The man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
