More than three years since two people found shot dead in car, Hopewell Police continue searching for answers
HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- More than three years after a man and a woman were found shot dead inside a crashed car with gunshot wounds, Hopewell Police continue searching for answers.
At around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, officers with the Hopewell Police Department were called to the area of South 13th Avenue and Buren Street for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman -- identified as 33-year-old Jerrell Lynwood and 35-year-old Amanda Horner -- were found dead in a crashed car, according to Hopewell Fire and EMS personnel.
On Thursday, July 10, Hopewell Police said the investigation into the 2022 double homicide remains ongoing, saying that they are "committed to finding those responsible and bringing them to justice."

"We are asking for the community’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and the individuals involved in this tragic and senseless act of violence.
