One person is dead after single vehicle crash in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person is dead after a single vehicle crash in Chesterfield County on Sunday, July 20, according to Chesterfield County Police.
The crash happened in the 4700 block of Ironbridge road at around 5:20 p.m. According to police, only one person was in the car during the crash.
An SUV was traveling eastbound on Ironbridge Road at according to what police describe as a, "High rate of speed," when the driver lost control and struck a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene -- the identification of the driver is still pending.
