Over 50 restaurants to headline Chesterfield Restaurant Week in April

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- More than 50 restaurants will headline the second annual Chesterfield Restaurant Week next month.

The 10-day celebration will run from April 4 to 13 and support more than 50 establishments, including restaurants, wineries, breweries, dessert shops and more, according to the county government.

"We've got so many great local restaurants here in Chesterfield and this is an exciting way to showcase many of them," said Sports, Visitation and Entertainment Director J.C. Poma. "Chesterfield Restaurant Week is just one event in part of an ongoing effort to showcase the county as a great place to live, work, play and stay."

Throughout the week, participating restaurants will prepare a specific dining special or menu of their choice or discount an existing item.

According to Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center Executive Director Kim Hill, portions of the proceeds from the 10-day event will go to the food bank. The event, which featured 39 local, independently owned restaurants, raised $10,205 last year. Hill said people across Chesterfield County and other local restaurants came together and donated over 44,000 meals to needy families at the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center.

"This year, Chesterfield Restaurant Week is even bigger, and we are very excited!" Hill said. "Together, we can end hunger in Chesterfield County!"
