Over 900 toys collected through student-run holiday toy drive at Louisa County High
LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Business and marketing students at Louisa County High School are honing in on the spirit of giving this year, collecting over 900 toys through their student-run Holiday Toy Drive. As of Monday, Dec. 2, over 900 toys have been collected through the 2024 Holiday Toy Drive conducted by these students, according to a spokesperson for Louisa County Public Schools. This is an annual tradition, led by instructor James Stickley but run entirely by students. The students design posters, are in charge of all marketing and provide updates to the community. "Right now, Mr. Stickley's classroom looks like the North Pole," the spokesperson said. "There are toys everywhere!" The drive will end on Friday, Dec. 6. Once it closes, all toys collected will be donated to the Louisa County Resource Council.
