Part of Hanover road to close for pipe replacement project

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Part of Taylors Creek Road in Hanover County will be shut down this week due to a pipe replacement project.

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 3, a section of Taylors Creek Road, between Bethany Church Road and Dunns Chapel Road, will be closed for this road work, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

VDOT said homeowners will still be able to access their properties during the operation.

Drivers are recommended to take the following detours:

  • Westbound: Head west on Taylors Creek Road, travel west on Bethany Church Road, head south on Canterbury Road, then west on Dunns Chapel Road to Taylors Creek Road
  • Southbound: Head east on Taylors Creek Road, travel northeast on Dunns Chapel Road, head north on Canterbury Road, then south on Bethany Church Road to Taylors Creek Road
