Petersburg City Public Schools Summer Academy, other summer programs canceled due to flooding

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- Due to flooding in many areas of Petersburg, Petersburg City Public Schools Summer Academy and other summer programs are canceled on Tuesday.
According to a spokesperson for the school division, Petersburg City Public Schools Summer Academy and other summer programs were canceled on Tuesday, July 15.
Petersburg City Public Schools summer employees will reportedly work remotely on Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., per the school system's operating hours.
The spokesperson said facilities, maintenance and custodial staff were expected to report to their assigned work location by 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
