Petersburg man arrested after dispute with son
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A Petersburg man was arrested for assault that took place on Winfield Road. At 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, Petersburg police responded to a report of an assault at the 900 block of Winfield Road. According to Petersburg police, once officers arrived on the scene, they determined there was a physical altercation between father and son -- resulting in the son being cut by the father. Police confirmed that the son obtained a small cut to the skin. 60-year-old Andre Washington was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
