At around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, Petersburg Police said officers were conducting an armed robbery investigation in the 1400 block of West Washington Street. According to police, the suspects in the armed robbery are described as two males wearing dark clothing, with one armed with a rifle. Police said the suspects were last seen in the area of Oakdale Avenue and Indiana Lane, and advised residents in these areas to stay indoors. Anyone who sees anything in the area is asked to contact police by dialing 911.
