HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hanover County children were treated to a holiday shopping spree, a pizza dinner and a visit from Santa Claus on Tuesday as part of a "Heroes and Helpers" event with the Hanover County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office partnered with Target to host this special holiday event on Tuesday, Dec. 10. In addition to the shopping spree, kids in attendance got to enjoy some pizza from Franco's Italian Restaurant and hang out with Santa. A Hanover deputy helped each child as they shopped, giving them time to pick out gifts for their family -- in addition to a little something for themselves.
