PHOTOS: More severe storms, more damage throughout Central Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Severe thunderstorms and heavy downpours hit Central Virginia again on Friday, bringing heavy rain and punishing winds. 8News viewers captured some of this weather -- and what it left behind -- on camera.

Central Virginia has seen severe storm after severe storm these past few weeks, with high winds and significant flooding causing damage throughout the region.

On Friday, July 18, another wave of stormy weather rolled into Central Virginia, causing destruction that knocked out power for thousands. Richmond-area localities like Henrico County were among those that were hit rather hard. Some of the damage includes several homes being hit by downed trees.
