PHOTOS: Three people fall into hole after porch collapses in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Three people fell into a hole when the porch of a Chesterfield County home collapsed Wednesday morning. Just before 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, Chesterfield County Fire and EMS crews responded to a call for a structure collapse in the 11600 block of Smoketree Drive. Officials said the concrete floor of a porch on the side of a home caved in, sending three people into a five-foot-deep hole beneath the porch. Within 10 minutes, firefighters were able to rescue all three people who were trapped inside the hole. All three were treated for minor injuries and are okay, according to officials.
