Prince Edward animal shelter over capacity, dogs need loving homes

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Prince Edward County’s animal shelter is over capacity, with staff asking anyone in need of a new furry friend to apply to take one home.
On Thursday, July 16, Prince Edward County Animal Care and Control took to Facebook to ask for help, as its shelter is over capacity.
"With no room to help more critters, it’s putting us in a VERY tough position," officials said.
If you are interested in adding any of the shelter's adoptable dogs to your family, you can find adoption applications outside the shelter's door. The shelter is located at 255 County Shop Road.
